Designed by Kristi Hanson Architects, Palm Desert, Calif., the
Fritzky Residence in Palm Desert features a flat seam 16-ounce Tecu-Copper tile roof supplied by KME, Oak Brook, Ill., with panels at a standard size, 55 1/2 by 19 1/8 inches. The copper was fabricated by MG McGrath, Maplewood, Minn., and required an associated 16-ounce Tecu-Copper drip edge with counter flashings and valleys. The roof system was installed over two layers of Cambridge, Mass.-based Grace Construction Products’ ultra self-adhering underlayment and one layer of Enka, N.C.-based Colbond USA’s enka-mat drainage mat underlayment.
