Rocky Mountain Hardware installed Minneapolis based pinta acoustic inc.
products in its new headquarters facility. Top of mind to decision makers at
the company were environmental responsibilities, efficiency of resources and
well-being of employees.
“We chose SQUARELINE metal ceiling tiles because they have a recycled material content. Our new facility is LEED Gold certified,” said Dave Johanningmeier from Rocky Mountain Hardware. “We’re a family-owned business, so our employee well-being is paramount to us. Noise pollution detracts from the ideal workplace environment and compromises communication. Mistakes can happen when employees can’t decipher directions, and morale suffers when employees can’t converse. We wanted to maximize acoustic control with products designed to absorb excess noise in certain areas. Pinta acoustic SONEX Valueline panels and baffles helped us accomplish that goal.
“Our owners also really like the look of SQUARELINE metal ceiling tiles. They enhance the modern, sophisticated look of our facility and were very easy to install. We’ve had numerous compliments from visitors about the overall look.”
Throughout its office and reception areas, 6,200 square feet (576 m2) of SQUARELINE standard metal ceiling tiles in customized Black with a Charcoal backer was installed. For the production areas, 640 square feet (59 m2) of SONEX Valueline Panels in Light Grey was used. Additionally, 4,700 square feet (437 m2) of SONEX Valueline Baffles was placed throughout 30,000 square feet (2,787 m2) of production space.
“For the ceiling, we wanted something that was different and eye-catching, and we achieved that with SQUARELINE,” Johanningmeier said. “In our production areas, we wanted to reduce the noise from vibratory and machining equipment. SONEX Valueline Panels and Baffles were the right solution. Acoustical tests showed a great improvement in noise levels. And the SONEX Valueline Wall Panels helped to significantly control noise generated by our compressor room. We’re very pleased with the outcomes. The products really work.”
