NCI Building Systems, Inc. announces the retirement of Wayne Dickinson as President of NCI’s Components Division effective March 23, 2012. “Our Components group has a history of success in large part due to the astute leadership of Wayne Dickinson. Recent years have been tremendously difficult for most in our industry. At once we witnessed conditions that created a volatile and hard to predict market that included lower demand in construction, excess inventory and higher steel costs. Dickinson’s experience and insight helped us navigate through these challenging times and the company is better positioned today than ever before,” states Norman C. Chambers, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of NCI. “It is with great appreciation that we bid farewell to Wayne and wish him all the best.”
Dickinson joined MBCI, NCI’s premier metal roof and wall panel producer, in 1978 during the early growth years and was instrumental in the rapid expansion of the Company. His sales career has been successful at all levels, beginning with sales desk responsibilities, Regional Manager, Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales, before being promoted to President of NCI’s Components Division in 2006. In addition to his responsibilities for sales growth, he was instrumental in research and development efforts as well as the Project Services group. Dickinson will be employed as Special Advisor through October 19, 2014 and thereafter, as a consultant through April 19, 2016.
Mark Dobbins, a 24-year veteran of the Company, will replace Dickinson as President of the Division that includes MBCI, ABC, DBCI, IPS and Metal Depots. In addition to Dobbins’ extensive experience within the Components group, he was the President of NCI’s Buildings Division from 2006 to 2008 and has been serving as Chief Operating Officer for NCI since March 2008.
